Our Process

Flanagan Farm cabbage is planted, grown, and nurtured using an all-organic process.

Our premium seeds get put into nutrient rich soil and we let the natural goodness of sun + water take it from there.

Our unique harveting process is all about timing the “perfect pick.”  Each cabbage is extracted with care and weeds are removed by hand.

We treat our cabbages like delicate newborns because, to us, that’s what they are!

Once harvested, these beauties are loaded into a truck for a quick trip (only 75 miles) to our production facility.

Less transit time means fresher cabbage and a crunchier, crisper kraut.

At the plant each cabbage is cleaned, shredded, lightly salted, and prepped for fermentation

The secret to our probiotic rich kraut is giving it the right amount of time to soak up all the nutrients. Good things come to those who wait!

We batch test each production then package our kraut into stand-up, resealable pouches.

Each bag has a special vent on the back to let air out. Why? So it can continue fermenting and keep all those gut-friendly probiotics locked inside
